Auto Keyboard: Free Auto Key Presser Download for Windows

Need a key pressed over and over while you step away? Auto Keyboard is a tiny, free Windows app that repeats any keyboard key at the interval you set, toggled by a single hotkey. No installation, no ads, no account.

What You Get

Auto Keyboard is a portable Windows utility that automatically presses or holds down a keyboard key for as long as you need. Pick the key once, set how fast it repeats, hit a hotkey to start, and walk away. Common uses: AFK farming in idle games, staying awake during long downloads, running repetitive test loops, or anything else where your finger would be stuck on the same key for an hour.

The app runs on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit). Unzip the folder to Documents, Desktop, a USB stick, or anywhere else—no installer, no admin rights, nothing stays in the background when you close it.

Quick Setup

  1. Open the app Launch Auto Keyboard from the folder where you unzipped it.
  2. Click Set Key Press the keyboard key you want repeated (letters, digits, Space, Enter, arrows, function keys, numeric pad—any key works).
  3. Enter the interval Type how many milliseconds between presses: 5 ms for fast taps, up to 10 minutes for slow heartbeat presses. Or tick Hold key down to press and hold continuously.
  4. Press F6 to start Hit the default hotkey F6 from any window—even a full-screen game or minimized app—to toggle the auto-pressing on and off. You can rebind it to F1 through F12 if you prefer.

Real-World Scenarios

Idle game? Set a short interval (50–200 ms) and let it tap the harvest button while you work on something else. The session counter shows how many presses have fired, so you can stop at a round number.

Long download or upload keeping your PC locked? Use a slow interval (30–60 seconds) to press a key like Space—just enough to prevent sleep mode without interfering with the transfer.

Testing a UI loop that requires the same keypress 500 times? Dial in the exact interval you need, hit Start, and skip the manual repetition.

The hotkey works reliably even in remote desktops and games that drop input from older automation tools, thanks to SendInput and hardware scan codes under the hood.

Optional: Add Randomness

If a perfectly steady rhythm looks suspicious (for example, in an online game), tick Randomize ± and set a jitter window. This adds a small random offset to each interval so the pattern does not read like a pure metronome. Always check the game's terms of service first—kernel-level anti-cheat systems may forbid input automation regardless of jitter.

Questions

Is it actually free?

Yes. Free forever, no trial, no locked features, no Pro tier, MIT licensed.

Do I need to install it?

No. It is a portable app. Unzip the folder and run the .exe from there. To uninstall, delete the folder.

Does it need an account or internet?

No. No signup, no login, no network activity at all.

Will it work on Windows 11?

Yes, Windows 10 and 11, both 64-bit. Behaviour is identical on both.

Is it safe to use in games?

The app sends standard keyboard events through the OS—exactly what a physical keyboard sends. It does not hook game clients or read other processes. Online games with anti-cheat may forbid any input automation, so verify the game's rules before use.

Does it have ads or telemetry?

No ads, no tracking, no background updater, no watermark.
